OVERVIEW

December and Lilly have got their work cut out for them. Not only are they desperately trying to figure out the identity of the Lost Soul, and track him down, they've also got to investigate why Powell River's newest resident has got all of their men falling at her feet.

But when they learn that the Nephilim might be involved, it becomes clear that they're all in extreme danger...

REVIEW

With never a dull moment in this book, I would definitely call “The Lost Soul” a page turner.  December and Jack are trying to communicate telepathically at the cost of severe headaches; a beautiful woman is seducing all the human men in town, and all the supernaturals are searching for Jemima - the beautiful and popular cheerleader who is thought to be dead.  All this being only the tip of a very big paranormal iceberg, just add a lost fairy, caves full of nephilim, and…oh yes, a pterodactyl - and voila! A suspense-laden work of art.

This enthralling third book in the Raven Saga had me rooted to my chair until I had read the very last word.  There are numerous well crafted characters - many of them supernatural races - and still the book is so skilfully written that the reader isn’t easily confused about who is who.  The frequent shifts in point of view adds to the suspenseful atmosphere and gives the reader an idea of what is happening on all fronts.  A touch of romance, especially that between Lily and Oliver, brings a beautiful sweetness to the story.  The author maintains just the perfect balance between action, tender moments and humor and yet there are several moments for which you may want to have the Kleenex close by.

For a masterpiece of nail-biting suspense, riveting action and beautiful tender moments, “The Lost Soul” is an absolute must-read.  I would, however, advise readers to read the first two books in the Raven Saga first before they read this fantastic book suitable for readers of all ages. I happily give it five stars!
