REVIEW
Once I started reading, I couldn’t
put it down. In “December Moon”, the second book in the Raven Saga, Suzy Turner
once again transports the reader into the exciting world of the supernatural.
The latest installment in this series, takes the reader on an adventure in
which December
learns how to use her talent in order to protect her friend; and interesting
new characters - both good and bad – are introduced. If you’ve read “Raven”, the first book in this series, you
will feel as though you are rejoining old and well loved friends in this second
book.
Although there’s lots of action and
adventure in the story, the pace is comfortable enough so as to give the reader
ample time to savor every moment. I also thought the characters to be
very realistic and well defined. Moments of suspense and intensity are
expertly balanced by easy-going scenes and enough humor to relax the tension.
As in “Raven”, I was again touched by the warmth and love with which Lily's family and friends accepted December and her family into their midst. Nothing however is always just perfect blue skies, so there are also some truly sad moments, which will bring tears to your eyes. I found myself completely absorbed in the story, experiencing joy, fear and sadness along with the characters. If you enjoyed reading “Raven”, you will absolutely love “December Moon”. It is more than a worthwhile read!
