SUMMARY

Happy Endings are for fairy tales. Or the movies. Not for real life. At least, not in Claire’s life. Even though she’s starting over, she knows better than to want too much this time. But when she falls, literally, into the strong arms of Hollywood’s ‘it’ boy Josh Wiley, Claire’s in for some surprises. Her plans for rest and relaxation are forgotten as one incredible night with Josh becomes two… And her heart begins to want him as much as her body. Will two kids, one bastard ex-husband, and Josh’s juggernaut career mean the end of their affair? Or can Claire find her happy ending after all?

REVIEW

Set in the world of film stars, movie premieres, book deals and the ever lurking press, this romance takes the reader on an exciting trip to Los Angeles, Britain and Texas. What starts as a holiday and exciting movie premiere seems likely to end in a flight from an abusive and highly unstable husband.

The characters in this book, especially that of the main character, Clare, are skillfully crafted and well fleshed out. Clare's children are particularly realistic and thoroughly adorable. Her abusive ex-husband, on the other hand, is portrayed as the ultimate mentally unstable control freak.

Josh Wiley, the hero of the story, is everything one wants in a romantic hero. Fortunately the author endowed her characters with enough negative attributes so as to make them believable and ever so slightly flawed.

Although this book is almost purely a romance with little in the way of action and suspense, things do pick up speed towards the end thus providing a few chapters of truly edge-of-your-chair reading. The romance in this book is sensitively written with numerous tender love scenes.

For a heartwarming romance full of beautiful family moments, glamorous Hollywood parties, romantic interludes and an exciting, nail-biting end, I highly recommend Hollywood Ever After.

ABOUT the AUTHOR

Sasha is part gypsy. Her passions have always been storytelling, history, romance, and travel. She writes both lyrical romantic fantasy AND steamy contemporary romance. Her first play was written for her Girl Scout troupe. She's been writing ever since. She loves getting lost in the worlds and characters she creates; even if she frequently forgets to run the dishwasher or wash socks when she's doing so. Luckily, her four brilliant children and hero-inspiring hubby are super understanding and supportive.
