In this first venture into paranormal romance, controversial
author David Weaver, successfully manages to create a vampire breed unlike any
other. The characters are well developed and captivating; and the interactions
between them heart-warming. This refreshingly different take on the vampire
theme, opens new doors to the reader’s imagination, while also creating a
true-to-life backdrop for the characters in which to develop. The plot forces
the two point-of-view characters to not only make choices in love, but also
some moral choices in their day-to-day lives. The surprise ending of the book
will leave you begging for more.

DAVID WEAVER is the 28 year old bestselling author of four
urban fiction titles including “Bankroll Squad” and "Bankroll Squad 2: Kyla's Revenge"; and has just recently made his

talent by writing front page articles for a local newspaper in Georgia, started
his novel-writing career in federal prison, where he had his first title

ABOUT “THE
ASLARIC VAMPIRE”
A: It’s funny
actually... I’ve always liked reading paranormal romances; but I’ve always
hated vampires! It just seemed like something was always missing in typical vampires.
I wanted to read a book where the vampires were a bit more advanced for modern
times. I realized that the only way to satisfy my curiosity would be for me to
create it on my own.
Q: How did you
come up with the title?
A: The title
actually came about with me just arranging different letters and trying to
create a word that I had never heard of before. And Aslaric came about. I came
up with the name midway through the book; it took me a while, lol!
Q: Who
designed the cover and how much input did you have regarding the design?
A: A good friend of mine did the artwork
for this one. I tried to describe to him the feel of the book, and he had it
completed within 72 hours!
Q: Which of your characters is your favorite?
A: Bristol is
my favorite. She’s my favorite creation due to the emotional complexities that
are contained within her. She wants to be human, but she wants to live forever
with Marvin. She wants to fall in love but she doesn’t want to destroy Marvin
in the process. She has 5 years to go before she can get all of her powers, but
the other 220 years have been weighing her down.
Q: What was
the hardest part of writing “The Aslaric Vamire”?
A: The hardest
part was creating the fight scene
with Todd. I had to expand my mind into their fantasy world even deeper and
become more in tuned with their paranormal abilities. I loved it - after it was
over with though!
Q: Did you
learn anything from writing “The Aslaric Vampire” and what was it?
A: I did actually. I learned a great lesson
in love. No matter what circumstance you end up in, you can not escape it if
it’s real. You can’t run from it and you can’t hide from it, no matter who you
are.
Q: If you had
to do it all over again, would you change anything in the book?
A: Ha! I
probably would have made Marvin a better basketball player if I could change
things.
Q: What were
the challenges in bringing it to life?
A: I have to credit my fantastic editor,
Tina Nance for aiding me in the research in the writing of the prologue. Tina
helped me get the correct titles, and dialogue in order for that particular
time period. Even though I only touched on that time period for a few pages, it
still took a lot of research to make sure that it was correct.
Q: What are
your expectations for “The Aslaric Vampire”?
A: I wanted to
create an interest for this new breed of vampire with the first title. I wanted
to spread the word and hopefully; if it catches on, I can release a more
in-depth, full length title for the sequel.
ABOUT DAVID
Q: Where are you
from?
A: I am from
the small town of Buena Vista Georgia. There is only one stoplight in my city,
lol!
Q: Do you
recall how your interest in writing originated?
A: My
grandfather taught me how to write when I was four. I was reading at three, and
I’ve been interested in literature ever since.
Q: What
inspired you to write your first book?
A: I was in
prison when I wrote my first book, and I wanted
a better life for myself and my daughter, so I tried my hand and it worked out.
Q: What books
have influenced your life most?
A: The Bible.
Q: What book
are you reading now?
A: At this
moment I’m not reading, I’m actually writing my 7th novel.
Q: Are there
any new authors that have grasped your interest?
A: I haven’t
been able to read much lately. I have released 6 books this year, so my work
ethic has been pretty strong. I’ll have to catch up as soon as I’m able to.
Q: Who is your
favorite author and what is it that really strikes you about their work?
A: My favorite
author is Sidney Sheldon. He was certainly a master of unpredictable
story-telling and plot twists. I love all of his work.
Q: Do you ever
experience writer's block and how do you deal with it?
A: If I get
writer’s block, I throw on some music, listen to the words; or I have to pick
up one of my favorite books and read a chapter or so. That way, I can put
myself inside of another writer’s mind since mine is blocked off.
Q: What would
your ideal career be, if you couldn't be an author?
A: If I
couldn’t be an author, I’d love to own a huge social network and call if
Facebook.com.
Q: If you were
to do your career as an author again, what would you do differently, and why?
A: If I’d have
done it over, I wouldn’t have ordered all of those paperbacks like I did in
2010, lol! I would have uploaded straight to Kindle as soon as the book was
finished in 2009 and got an even bigger head start.
Q: What are your
5 favourite books — and why?
A: Master Of The Game, Rage Of Angels, If Tomorrow
Ever Comes, The Best Laid Plans - all by Sidney Sheldon; and I like “Pleasure”
by Eric Jerome Dickey.
Q: What are your
favorite books to give (and receive) as gifts?
A: As a gift, I love to receive a romance
title. That’s the basis to a good story, in my opinion.
Q: If you can
have dinner with one person, who would it be and why?
A: I would
certainly take Raven-Symone out to dinner if I was afforded the opportunity.
Q: What is your
work schedule like when you're writing?
A: When writing,
I don’t have time for much else. Music plays, but I can’t concentrate on the
lyrics, only the instruments.
Q: What do you
like to do when you're not writing?
A: When I’m not
writing, I like to watch a well-written stage play. I could gain motivation
from something inspirational.
Q: Five things
on your Christmas wish list:
A: I certainly
have three. Kindle Fire, iPad 2, new iPhone (whichever one is newest by
Xmas).
Q: Do you have a
favorite quote you want to share with your readers?
A: “The only thing faster than the speed
of light, is the speed of darkness.”

tell us more about your previous books?
A: My previous
books are not paranormal
romances, but urban fiction titles. They’re all love stories with fictional
figments of street life sprinkled all throughout the book. Most of them were
written while I was in federal prison.
Q: Which of
your books is your favorite?
A: Bankroll
Squad.
Q: Which of
your characters is most/least like you, and in what way(s)?
A: Jamal from “A Love Story”, because he loved his
family dearly.

your characters would you most/least like to invite to dinner, and why?
A: I would
invite Lisa Lee over from “A Love
Story”, because I need to have a talk with her.
Q: What are
your current projects?
A: Currently
I’m about to release Bankroll Squad 3.
Q: Name one
entity that you feel supported you (outside of family members).
A: Facebook
was pivotal in succeeding.
Q: Do you see
writing as a career?
A: Yes
Q: Is there
anything you find particularly challenging in your writing?
A: New
character names, moods, and circumstances that sound good. It’s always
challenging to write about someone you never met before.
Q: Do you
write an outline before every book you write?
A: No, I write
mine from thin air basically.
Q: Have you
ever hated something you wrote?
A: A letter to
my ex girlfriend, lol!
Q: What is
your favorite theme/genre to write about?
A: Urban
fiction is my favorite genre.
Q: Do you read
reviews of your books? If so, do you pay any attention to them, or let them
influence your writing?
A: I don’t let
them influence me. I just strive to do my best every time.
Q: If you
could choose one of your books to be made into a major motion picture, which
book would it be and why?
A: “Bankroll
Squad” because I wrote it in screenplay
format alost.
Q: How long does
it take you to write a book?
A: Lol! I could
knock a book out in as little as
22 days.

A: Five books
